Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: 2026-08-29 Version: 1.0
1. Our Commitment
Anthroutfit should be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, reduced motion, or other assistive technology.
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA for our website, and Apple's accessibility guidance — VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, and sufficient contrast — for our iOS app.
2. Current Status — Stated Honestly
We have not yet completed a formal accessibility audit, and we do not claim full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance today. Saying otherwise before it has been tested would be worth less than nothing to someone who then cannot use the product.
What we can state:
- The website is built as standard semantic HTML with text content, and sets no cookie banner or interstitial to navigate around.
- The website does not autoplay audio and contains no flashing content.
- Sign-up form fields carry programmatic labels and the consent notice is associated with its field, so a screen reader announces the two together rather than reading a bare checkbox.
Known and expected gaps, which we are working through:
- No formal audit against WCAG 2.2 AA has been performed, by us or by a third party.
- Colour contrast, focus-visible states, and keyboard traps have not been systematically verified across every page.
- The iOS app's scanning flow is inherently visual and motion-based. Capturing a body scan requires physically moving a phone around a person, which we cannot make equivalent for every user. Where a scan is captured by one person for another, the operator may assist. We would rather say this plainly than imply an equivalence we cannot deliver.
- Our 3D avatar viewer is a visual output. Your measurements are also available as text, which is the accessible equivalent of the same information.
3. Accessibility of the Body-Scan Feature Specifically
The App requires an iPhone with a LiDAR depth sensor and requires moving the device around the subject. This imposes real physical requirements. If you can use the App but not capture a scan unaided:
- Another person may operate the scan for you, provided you consent as described in our Biometric Data Consent & Retention Notice and our Terms of Service (Section 3.2).
- We do not charge more, offer less, or otherwise treat your account differently because a scan was operator-assisted.
4. Alternative Formats
If you need this or any other Anthroutfit policy in an alternative format — larger text, plain text, or another accessible format — contact us and we will provide it at no cost.
5. Tell Us About a Problem
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, we want to hear about it, and a report from you is worth more than an internal guess.
Email help@anthroutfit.com (fallback: help@anthroutfit.com) with:
- the page or screen where you hit the barrier;
- what you were trying to do;
- the assistive technology, browser or device you were using, if you know it.
Our commitment: we acknowledge accessibility reports within [5] business days and tell you what we intend to do and roughly when. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will say so and offer a workaround rather than let the report go quiet.
6. Enforcement and Your Rights
Nothing in this statement limits your rights under applicable accessibility law, including the Americans with Disabilities Act in the United States and, where it applies to us, the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may pursue any remedy available to you under the law of your place of residence.
7. Reviews
We will review this statement whenever we make a material change to the website or app, and at least once a year, and update the version and date above.
